राजनैतिक मृगतृष्णा, the Hindi version of Lalit Shastri’s book Political Mirage – 50 years after India became Republic, was launched on 1 Jan 2021. Political Mirage was released by former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee in June 2000.
Lalit Shastri, Editor-in-chief, is a live-wire journalist with more than 35 years of experience in mainstream print-media. As Editor and Special Correspondent with leading media groups, he has witnessed the dynamics of politics, versatility of Indian democracy and the most minute aspects of governance from close range.
The book is on the importance of transparency and good governance. It is a collection of articles published in The Hindu. It exposes corruption and lack of concern for environment and causes responsible for poor law and order situation.
KK Sethi, IAS (Retd), who has translated the book in Hindi, is former Chief Secretary Manipur, President Board of Revenue MP, and Commissioner, National Commission for Linguistic Minorities.
