Silawat and Rajput inducted in Shivraj Cabinet

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Cabinet led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan was expanded on Sunday 3 January 2021 with the induction of two staunch supporters of Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had quit the Congress in March last year close on the heels of several Congress MLAs leaving their party en masse leading to the fall of the 15-month old Kamal Nath-led Congress government.

State Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office to Tulsiram Silawat and Govind Rajput at Raj Bhawan on Sunday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh, Protem Speaker Rameshwar Sharma and Ministers were.

Silawat and Rajput were inducted as Ministers in the Shuvraj Cabinet in March but had to vacate their ministerial berth as the bye election to fill the Assembly seats vacated by them had got delayed due to the COVID pandemic.
