Dubai unveils the world’s first 3D building

dubai 3D officeDubai: Dubai the land of dream and the home for many has once again emerged as one of the world’s first 3D- printed building. This awe-inspiring 3D printed building at Emirates Towers in Dubai was inaugurated on Monday by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.

It took less than a month to build this magnificent and unique building that stands tall covering an area of 250 square meters.

The material used to construct this spectacular building is a special mixture of cement and a set of building materials designed and made in UAE and United States. The material has undergone a massive range of tests in China and also in United Kingdom and the robotic arm that was used to implement the printing processes measured 20 feet high, 120 feet long and 40 feet wide.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad said,” We announce today the opening of the first 3D-printed office in the world, after less than a month of launching the Dubai 3D printing strategy which showcases a modern model of construction. This is an experiment we present to the world on implementing future technology in our lives, and it represents a new milestone for the UAE as a global leader in strategic achievements.”

He went on to underscore that the UAE has become one of the world’s most important incubators in the fields of innovation and future technology, by taking initiatives and steady steps in shaping the future and creating a global model that will be followed globally.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad further said that this 3D-printed officie building will be enable in doing faster delivery and will benefit in lowering the cost that will enhance in making UAE one of the most important hubs, and much use of this technology to establish future cities covering all areas.

The 3D printed building witnessed the presence of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and a number of senior officials.
