MP Government goes for large-scale bureaucratic reshuffle

Vallabh BhawanBhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Government has gone in for a major bureaucratic reshuffle and a number of senior IAS officers have been shifted.

Radheshyam Jhulaniya has been assigned additional charge of ACS, Rural Development while Alka Upadhya has been made Principal Secretary, Tribal Development and Kalpana Shrivastava is Principal Secretary, Technical and Skill Development.

Similarly, Kanta Rao has been appointed as Principal Secretary of newly created MSME department; Sachin Sinha gies as Director, Academy of Administration; Ramesh Thete as Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development.

Anupam Rajan, Commissioner Public Relations gets additional charge as Executive Director EPCO and Environment commissioner.

Ashish Upadhaya has been posted as Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Shikha Dubey as Principal Secretary, Ayush; Jay Shiv as Commissioner, Women’s Empowerment; K K Khare as Principal Commissioner, Revenue, Madhu Khare as Secretary, Women and Child Development; Rajnish Uikey as Secretary, Information Commission and Ms Chhavi Bhardwaj was made new Commissioner, BMC.

Mahesh Choudhary has been appointed Collector Jabalpur while A K Jain will now be Chhindwara collector and Lokesh Jatav has been made Raisen collector.

Abhishek Singh has been appointed as new collector, Umaria; Ashok Verma as new Collector, Khargone; Naresh Pal as Satna; Sibi Chakravorty as Collector, Narsinghpur; Preeti Methil as Collector, Mandla; Amit Tomar as collector, Dindori; Priyanka Das as collector, Tikamgarh and Rupla, Collector Jabalpur, has been promoted as Divisional Commissioner, Gwalior.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday took the lead in India and announced that a new department of happines would be set up in the State

The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing the concluding session of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state executive.

“For bringing all-round prosperity among the people of Madhya Pradesh, the  department of happiness would be constituted”, he said adding  only materialitic prosperity cannot bring joy to life.

After Bhutan had fixed gross national happiness as it’s main priority,  in February this year UAE became a trend setter when Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and the ruler of Dubai created two new portfolios –  Happiness and Tolerance.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wants animal husbandry, fisheries and sericulture to be promoted to increase the farmers’ income.

The Chief Minister held discussions with senior officers at Mantralaya (State secretariat) here to push his agenda for increasing the farmers’ income. He told the concerned bureacrats, including Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa to engage in a brainstorming exercise to ensure the farmers’nome goes up by 100 per cent in the next 5 years.

The Chief Minister said that animal husbandry, poultry, sericulture and fish farming are activities that could significantly add to the farmers’ income. He told the officers that the best techniques and technologies that are available anywhere in the world should be introduced in Madhya Pradesh.

Chouhan said that Milk production is also a good way to increase income and went on to suggest that two model dairies should be developed in private sector in each district.

Madhya Pradesh signs $ 35 million agreement with World Bank to streamline delivery of public services

delivery of public servicesBhopal: An agreement for IDA credit of USD 35 million from World Bank for ‘Madhya Pradesh Citizen Access to Responsive Services Project’ was signed in New Delhi today.

This agreement will build the capacity, simplify the process and expand the ambit of delivery of public services.

Union Joint Secretary Economic Affairs Raj Kumar signed the agreement on behalf of Government of India and Onno Ruhl, Country Director, World Bank (India) on behalf of the World Bank.

The Implementing Entity Agreement was signed by Executive Director of State Agency for Public Services, Madhya Pradesh Department of Public Services Management, on behalf of the state Government and the Country Director, World Bank (India) on behalf of the World Bank.

The project size is USD 50 million, of which USD 35 million will be financed by the Bank. Remaining amount will be funded out of State Budget. The duration of the Project is 5 years.
