London: Rishi Sunak is Prime Minister designate of UK.

Rishi Sunak is a British politician who has been leader of the Conservative Party since October 2022 and was Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2020 to 2022. He served as Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2019 to 2020.

Sunak was born in Southampton. His parents, of Punjabi Indian descent, had migrated to UK from East Africa about 50 years ago. Educated at Winchester College, Sunak read philosophy, politics and economics (PPE) at Lincoln College, Oxford, and did his MBA from Stanford University in California, USA, as a Fulbright Scholar. He met Akshata Murty, whom he later married at Stanford. Akshata is the daughter of N. R. Narayana Murthy, the founder of Indian IT giant – Infosys.
