Rome: After the new Government was sworn in by the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, at the Quirinale Palace on Saturday, the traditional ‘handover ceremony’ was held on Sunday 23 October 2022 at Palazzo Chigi, between the outgoing Prime Minister, Mario Draghi, and the newly appointed Head of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni. Following the ceremony, the first meeting of the new Council of Ministers was held.
