New Delhi: NIA conducted a search operation on Saturday 6 August in the residential premises of one accused Mohsin Ahmad, student of Jamia Millia Islamia, presently residing at Jogabai Extention, Batla house, in the capital, and arrested him in a case pertaining to online and on-ground activities of ISIS.
Mohsin Ahmad (22), a second year Electrical engineering student at Jamia (according to available reports), is a permanent resident of New colony, ITI women, Digha, Dinapur-cum-Khagul, Patna, Bihar. The case was registered suo-moto by NIA on 25 June 2022.
Mohsin Ahmad is a radicalised and active member of ISIS. He has been arrested for his involvement in collection of funds for ISIS from sympathisers in India as well as abroad. He was sending these funds to Syria and other places in form of cryptocurrency in order to further the activities of ISIS.
