Tokyo: Shinzo Abe, Japan’s longest serving Prime Minister who made a mark globally and was a great friend of India, passes away.

Mr. Abe was shot on Friday 8 July 2022 during a campaign event at city of Nara, Japan

Shinzo Abe (21 September 1954 – 8 July 2022) served as prime minister of Japan and President of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2012 to 2020.
