NIA conducts searches at multiple locations in Telangana and arrests 3 accused in Peddabayalu CPI(Maoist) Recruitment Case

Hyderabad: NIA conducted searches at three locations in Telangana in the districts of Ranga Reddy, Medak and Secunderabad on Thursday 23 June 2022 and arrested three accused in Peddabayalu CPI(Maoist) Recruitment Case (RC-02/2022/NIA/HYD).

The case pertains to the conspiracy and recruitment of one college student, into the fold of proscribed terrorist organization CPI(Maoist) by the leaders and members of Chaitanya Mahila Sangham (CMS), a frontal organization of CPI(Maoist). The case was initially registered as FIR.No.01/2022 on 3 January 2022 at Peddabayalu Police Station, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. NIA had re-registered the case on 3 June 2022 and taken over the investigation.

During the searches conducted on 23 June, incriminating material, including digital devices have been seized.

Based on the searches conducted, NIA has arrested the three accused for their involvement in motivating and recruiting youth for the proscribed organization CPI(Maoist). The details of arrested accused are as follows :

Dongari Devendra, resident of Gandhi Nagar, Parwathapur, Peerzadiguda, Ghatkesar (M), Ranga Reddy district, Telangana

Dubasi Swapna, resident of Hayathnagar, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana

Chukka Shilpa, resident of Khairatabad, Hyderabad, Telangana

Further investigation in the case continues.
