Bhopal: International Yoga Day was celebrated at NITTTR, Bhopal on Tuesday June 21 2022.
On this occasion, faculty members, officers, employees, and their children took part in yoga-asanas and advocated the message of staying healthy. While practicing various asanas under the guidance of the yoga teacher Jaya Nema, everyone reiterated the importance of yoga for a healthy body and mind.
Marking Yoga Day, NITTTR Director Prof. C. C. Tripathi underscored the importance of yoga. In his message, he said that it has been proved by many researches that yoga has the ability to improve the physical and mental health of people and yoga can also help to balance our changing lifestyle. He said that if we include yoga in our daily life it brings joy, health and peace. By adopting yoga in our lifestyle, we can reduce the expenditure on our health and can contribute fully in building a healthy nation.
PRO of the institute Prof. P.K. Purohit informed that the 8th International Day of Yoga is being celebrated by the Ministry of AYUSH under the theme ‘Yoga for Humanity’. Yoga training is provided under the guidance of trained yoga teacher at NITTTR Bhopal. On this occasion Mrs Vandana Tripathi, Prof K K Jain, Prof S S Kedar, Prof MC Paliwal, Prof Hussain Jeeva Khan and other officers and employees were present.
