Bhopal: Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who was in the 1986-88 batch and did the Master of Technical Education course at NITTTR, Bhopal, has been elected President of Somalia for a second term.

Director, NITTTR, Bhopal, Prof. C.C. Tripathi while congratulating Sheikh Mohamud said that it is a matter of great pride for NITTTR, Bhopal that Mr. Hassan Sheikh has spent significant time of his student life in NITTTR, Bhopal. NITTTR, Bhopal family is proud of the achievement of this former dear student.

Prof. PK Purohit Public Relations Officer of NITTTR, Bhopal informed that Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had come to Bhopal on 31 October 2015 to attend a special convocation during his first term of the President of Somalia. NITTTR, Bhopal family had organised a grand ceremony in his honour.

Hassan Sheikh had seen a film made on his student life, during his stay at NITTTR, Bhopal which was preserved by the Institute. In his special address, while remembering his old days, colleagues and teachers, the President of Somalia had personally met everyone and exchanged greetings. It was a pleasant surprise that even after so many years, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, along with all his teachers, remembered the old experiences.
