Bhopal: In a shocking incident, 3 policemen were shot dead by poachers in Aaron of Guna district of the central Indian State of Madhya Pradesh in the early hours of Saturday 14 May 2022.

A police driver has been seriously injured in this incident.
Seven poachers were said to be involved. One of them has been killed in this encounter.
The incident has been reported between 3 am and 4 am on Saturday. The bodies of the three policemen have been brought to the district hospital.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister has called a high-level meeting to take stock of the situation.
Guna Police had been tipped about the poachers and had information that they were coming from Sagar Barkheda. A few police teams were deployed to catch them. The police saw them moving on about half a dozen bikes in the forest of Shahrok. When the police laid siege, the poachers opened fire. The police also fired some rounds.
In this incident, Sub Inspector Rajkumar Jatav, constable Neeraj Bhargava and constable Santram died on the spot. The remains of five deer and one peacock have been seized from the poachers.
State Home Minister Narottam Mishra said – Strict action will be taken and it will become an example for others.
The State Government has removed IG Gwalior Anil Sharma with immediate effect and announced Rs 10 million ex-gratia relief to the families of each of the policemen who laid down their life bravely fighting the poachers.
