Nashik/Mumbai: Twenty two patients have died due to a leak in the oxygen tank at Dr Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik in Maharashtra.
According to the district Collector Suraj Mandhare, most of those who died at the civic hospital in Nashik on 21 April 2021 were on ventillator.
It was around 1100 hours when a glitch hit the oxygen refilling work of oxygen and as a result the oxygen supply to the patients was held up for almost an hour at the Hospital thats functioning as a COVID facility.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has announced a Rs 5 lakh compensation to the kin of deceased and instructed a probe into the oxygen leak incident.
