Disengagement of troops at Pangong: After 9 rounds of commander level talks, the frontline troops of the Indian and Chinese armies at the southern and northern banks of the Pangong Tso began simultaneous disengagement on Wednesday. While announcing this, China has described it as a breakthrough for peace. Official statement from India is awaited.

India helps world world to conquer COVID-19: Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau said that if the world managed to conquer COVID-19, it would be significantly because of India’s tremendous pharmaceutical capacity, and Prime Minister Modi’s leadership in sharing this capacity with the world. He said this when he made a phone call and talked to Modi on 10 Feb about Canada’s requirements of COVID-19 vaccines from India.

India emerges as leading global power: U.S.-India Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership is both broad as well as multifaceted. India is one of the most important partners of USA in the Indo-Pacific region. US State Dept spokesperson Ned Price said this at Tuesday’s press briefing. “US welcomes India’s emergence as a leading global power and its role as a net security provider in the region”, he added.
