New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on Friday 29 January condemned as “‘very unfortunate” the Republic Day violence and “dishonour” to the tricolour by farmers’ unions protesting against the 3 new farm laws and asserted that the benefits of the farm reforms have started reaching 10 crore small farmers.
The President was delivering the customary address to the joint sitting of Parliament marking the start of the Budget session.
Without naming China, the President took head on the neighbouring country for its efforts to disrupt peace at the Line of Actual Control(LAC) in “utter disregard” of bilateral relations.
