Bhopal/Jabalpur: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has ordered investigation into Mira Nair’s “A Suitable Boy” drama streaming on Netflix.
Mira Nair has directed this adaptation of Vikram Seth’s novel. Tabu, Ishaan Khatter and Tanya Maniktala are the main actors.

Pandit Amit Khampariya, head of Jabalipuram Hindu Mahasabha, has thanked the MP Home Minister for ordering investigation into the controversial Netflix TV drama. It’s Season 1 is now on Netflix.
Khampariya said in a statement that the conspiracy against Hindu religion and everyone behind it will have to be exposed, only then will the nation be safe.
In ‘A Suitable Boy’, being streamed by @NetflixIndia, kissing scenes have been shot in the courtyard of a temple and shown thrice in a single episode. The TV drama shows a Hindu woman is in love with a Muslim young man. Questions are being raised and it is being asked why the kissing scene has been shot in the temple? An FIR has been lodged in this case in Rewa by social activist Gaurav Tiwari in this matter.
Do not consider the tolerance of Hindus as their weakness, it is an insult not only to Madhya Pradesh but also to Lord Shiva and crores of Shiva devotees, the head of Jabalipuram Hindu Mahasabha has stated.
Rani Ahilyabai Holkar dedicated Maheshwar Ghat to the devotees of Shiva, but @NetflixIndia is using this holy place to promote love-jihad and hurt Hindu sentiments, Khampariya said, adding he is deleting netflix from his smartphone.
Khampariya has further stated that “A Suitable Boy” was shot in Maheshwar (November-December 2019). At that time there was a Congress government in Madhya Pradesh. Drawing attention to Congress MLA Vijayalakshmi Sadho, he has accused her of extending support to this anti-Hindu TV drama and allowing its shooting in the temple courtyard. He has demanded apology from the Congress party and Kamal Nath in this regard.
