Srinagar: Four soldiers, including a Border Security Force (BSF) officer, were martyred, when Pakistani troops resorted to heavy shelling and firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir on the eve of Diwali on Friday 13 November 2020.
Three civilians, including a 3-year child, were also killed and several others were injured in Pak shelling.
Available reports indicate 7 to 11 Pakistani Rangers were killed and 15 injured when Indian troops went on the offensive, hit back, pounded and blew up Pakistani Army posts and bunkers.
Several ammunition dumps and multiple terrorist launch pads in PoK were destroyed by the Indian Army. Pak Army has also sustained heavy causality, according to Defence Ministry spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia.
