Aligarh: Aligarh police on Saturday 31 October registered an FIR for criminal intimidation against AMU student Farhan Zuberi for his hate speech and the ‘beheading’ threat at an anti-Macron protest.

Abhishek, Aligarh Addl SP-City, has confirmed that a case against Zuberi has been registered under section 506, 153 of the Indian penal code.
About 4 pm on 29 October Zuberi led a protest march against a French cartoon of Prophet Muhammad. During this protest, threats to life and property were made by him in a speech.
A video of the hate speech by Zuberi, also an AIMIM leader, threatening ‘life and property’ has gone viral.
The AMU student leader, surrounded by a crowd of like-minded students spoke against the French President while condemning a French cartoon of Prophet Muhammad. He can be heard in the video openly threatening to behead anyone who shows disrespect to Prophet Mohammad.
