Bhopal: Purushottam Sharma, (IPS: MP: 1986), a DG rank officer in Madhya Pradesh, has been caught on camera physically assaulting his wife. Sharma’s video has gone viral.
Matter got precipitated after Sharma’s wife, who had been tracking her husband’s movements for last three years caught him “red handed” with another woman at her house. There was a bitter fight between both the husband and wife when they returned home and this has been caught on video.
It has been reported that Sharma’s son, who is an IRS officer has lodged a complaint with the State DGP and Chief Secretary.
The State Home department has swung into action and removed Sharma from his present post as head of Directorate of Prosecution. The National Commission of Women has also written to the State Government seeking a detailed report.
Sharma has been Special DG Cyber Cell and Special Task Force.
