Rhea Chakroborty arrested by NCB; remanded to 14 day judicial custody

Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday 8 September 2020 arrested Rhea Chakraborty, the prime accused in the drugs peddling case which is linked with the death of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput under suspcious circumstances.

Rhea has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 daqys.

Rhea has been arrested under NDPS Act after three days of intense grilling. With her arrest, the total number of those arrested has gone up to four. The others arrested so far in this case are Rhea’s brother Showik, along with Sushant Singh’s staff members Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant.

The investigation by NCB in this case has instilled fear among the big wigs of the Mumbai film industry as many prominent names are likely to surfacve in the coming days as many are now under the scanner for links and dealings with the drug mafia.
