She spends a great deal of time teaching and mentoring emerging storymakers in India and Africa to hone their craft. In addition, she is a volunteer bat rescuer and advocate, working within communities to change commonly vilified perceptions of the little-known species.
Gunjan Menon was a participant in the Central Indian Highlands Wildlife Film Festival-2013 (CIHfestival) and had won the Best Documentary Award, when she was a student of Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication, Pune.
CIHWFF’13 was a thrilling experience, especially for film-making students like us. It gave us immense amount of exposure into wildlife film-making, making it an enjoyable learning experience and an unforgettable adventure at the same time – Gunjan Menon
