New Delhi: The CBI on Thursday 6 August 2020 registered an FIR against the main accused Rhea Chakraborty and her family members – Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty – beside Samued Miranda, Shruti Modi & others in connection with the death of Bollywood Actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The CBI has registered a regular Case under Sections 341, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306, 506, 120B of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for criminal conspiracy, abetmnent to suicide, wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement, theft, criminal breach of trust, cheating and criminal intimidation.

The case has been transferred to Central Bureau of Investigation for investigation by the Bihar Police. An FIR was earlier lodged by Sushant’s father KK Singh with the Bihar Police.

The registration of the FIR by CBI in this case presents the Bombay Police in poor light as it has apparently done everything to fudge the probe into the causes leading to the death of the popular actor under mysterious and unanutural circumstances.

Rhea’s arrest is now imminent. Investigation by CBI will establish whether or not there is any connection between the death of Sushant Singh Rajput on 14 June and his former Manager Disha Salian who died under mysterious circumstances on the morning of June 8. The Bombay Police had closed Disha’s death case by declaring it as suicide and they have also been peddling the same conclusion in the case of Sushant. CBI investigation will conclusively prove whether its a case of double murder or suicide.
