Yashodhara Raje Scindia’s emphasis is on world class infrastructure to train emerging sportspersons

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the boys and girls hostels at the world class State Shooting Academy here start functioning without wasting any time as proper facilities are crucial for the future of the emerging sportspersons who have the potential to shine in the global arena.

On Thursday 16 July, Ms Scindia took a round of the campus and saw first-hand the progress of the construction of the hostel infrastructure at the Shooting Academy, now in the final stage of completion. She directed the building contractor to maintain absolute quality in terms of workmanship and the deadline.

Madhya Pradesh Government is providing a complete range of facilities to the talented sportspersons. The hostel at the Shooting Academy at Bishankhedi in the State capital will be equipped with Smart Access System, informed Ms Scindia.

The Minister further said that there will be special emphasis on the safety of the players who are going to reside in the hostel complex being constructed at a cost of over Rs 126 million. The hostel will have the capacity to accommodate 240 players, including 180 boys and 60 girls. Each player will be given a Radio Frequency Identifying Decoder I Card.

Ms. Scindia said that there will be a meditation room to increase concentration among the players. The facilities would include a digital library, entertainment zone, indoor games, mini gym, personal sanitization and wash area and dining hall.

Director Sports and Youth Welfare Pawan Jain was present.
