Ruling BJP MLA abuses and threatens forest officer in Madhya Pradesh
This is a phone conversation between Range Officer Tilak Singh Raipuria, Noradehi Sanctuary in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, and Dharmendra Lodhi, the ruling BJP MLA from Jabera.
The MLA can be heard abusing, threatening and ordering the upright Noradehi Sanctuary Game RO posted at Sarra in Damoh district after he had arrested two persons who were in the wildlife Sanctuary for hunting/fishing purpose. There is anger and rage in concerned circles. Conservationists also have been asked through a post that’s gone viral on social media to join hands and raise their voice to support the honest Game Range Officer and expose the “corrupt politician”.
The accused persons Pankaj, son of Bhadrakant Vishwas and Ramkishun, son of Hemraj Chakravarty of Sarra village were arrested on Friday 10 July under Sections 9, 27, 29, 50, 51, 51(2) of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. The RO received a call from mobile no 70002999476 and the person who had called introduced himself as Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, MLA from Jabera. After asking who has been arrested, he began abusing, threatening and demanding that the arrested person be released.
The forest Range Officer has lodged a Police complaint against the ruling party MLA
This should be a test case and everyone who can play a role should not rest till the MLA concerned is held accountable for his blatant attempt to destroy the constitutional authority vested in the enforcement agency.
