Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday 2 July belatedly expanded his Cabinet, with the induction of 28 new ministers, including a dozen supporters of BJP MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had quit the Congress in March this year and masterminded the fall of the previous Congress Government led by Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh.
Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office to the new ministers – 20 Cabinet ministers and eight ministers of state – at a function in the Bhopal Raj Bhavan in the State capital.
Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Gopal Bhargava are the prominent among the new ministers, who took oath on Thursday.

Among those who took oath as Cabinet Ministers are Gopal Bhargava, Jagdish Deora, Vijay Shah, Bisahulal Singh, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Bhupendra Singh, Edal Singh Kansana, Brijendra Pratap Singh, Vishwas Sarang, Imarti Devi, Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Pradyumn Singh Tomar, Prem Singh Patel, Omprakash Saklecha, Usha Thakur, Arvind Bhadoria, Dr Mohan Yadav, Hardeep Singh Dung and Rajwardhan Singh Premsingh Dattigaon.
Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Inder Singh Parmar, Ramkhilavan Patel, Ram Kishore Kanwre, Brijendra Singh Yadav, Giriraj Dandotia, Suresh Dhakad and O.P.S. Bhadoria took the oath of office and secrecy as Ministers of State.
Among those present were Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayat Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawarchand Gehlot, Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Patel, and Members of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Pragya Thakur along with State Cabinet ministers. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains conducted the oath ceremony.
Chouhan took oath as state’s chief minister for a record fourth term on March 23.
