New Delhi: In the midst of the much publicised de-escalation process involving senior military officials in Galwan Valley, there was a violent stand-off between the Indian and Chinese troops last night resulting in the loss of lives on Indian side.
Martyred in the clash with the Chinese Army at Pangong Tso are an Indian Army Colonel and two soldiers.
It is learnt that the PLA (Chinese Army) also has lost soldiers but there is no conformation from the Chinese side.
Indian Army Statement
“During the de-escalation process underway in the Galwan Valley, a violent stand-off took place yesterday night with casualties on both sides. The loss of lives on the Indian side includes an officer and two soldiers. Senior military officials of the two sides are currently meeting at the venue to defuse the situation.” it has also been stated that there was no firing from either side.
