Karachi: Dozens of people were killed when a Pakistan International Airlines plane with 107 people on board crashed into a densely populated residential area in Karachi on Friday.
A PIA Airbus A320 flying from Lahore crashed when it was about to land in Karachi. The plane came down near Model Colony in Malir.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has condoled the loss of life due to a plane crash in Pakistan.
“Deeply saddened by the loss of life due to a plane crash in Pakistan. Our condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishing speedy recovery to those injured”, the Prime Minister said.
India’s Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu also expressed anguish at the loss of lives in an air crash in Pakistan’s Karachi. He extended condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured,” the Vice President’s Secretariat said in a tweet quoting Naidu.
