Corona warriors honoured by Indian Armed Forces

New Delhi: The Corona warriors were honoured in various ways by the Indian armed forces on Sunday, 3 May 2020.

On Sunday, IAF C-130 aircraft undertook Covid19 task, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. While on the mission to Kanyakumari, the aircraft honoured the Corona Warriors by presenting aerial salute.
IAF MI-17 helicopters showered petals over hospitals to convey nation’s gratitude to the Corona Warriors. 

Indian Naval Ship illuminated off RK Beach at Visakhapatnam, saluting the Corona Warriors through traditional naval ceremonials. 

Indian Air Force Bands performed at hospitals in various cities to express solidarity with the Corona Warriors. The performances were held at Delhi, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Prayagraj, Guwahati and Nagpur. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised this gesture and said, “The scenes of respect shown by the Indian armed forces towards the doctors, police, paramilitary forces and other warriors, who work day and night to liberate the country from Corona, are heart touching. The bravery shown by these warriors while fighting Corona is certainly venerable.”
