New Delhi: The Government of India on Sunday 26 April went ahead with a major exercise of transfer-postings and promotions of 22 IAS officers of 1984 to 1988 batches at the Secretary level; and in-situ upgradation of 10 officers to Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.

One officer of the 1990 batch, the Secretary Central Information Commission, has been transferred and posted at the Additional Secretary level with the upgradation of a post in the Department of Legal Affairs;
