Gopal Reddy appointed OSD in Chief Secretary’s office; way cleared for his appointment as next CS

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Government has appointed M. Gopal Reddy, Vice-Chairman Narmada Valley Development Authority and Additional Chief Secretary Water Resources as Officer on Special Duty in Chief Secretary’s Office.

Reddy’s appointment as OSD in the Chief Secretary’s office is prparatory to his appointment as Chief Secretary on the retirement of present Chief Secretary SR Mohanty later this month.

Reddy will continue to perform the work of Vice Chairman Narmada Valley Development Authority, Additional Chief Secretary Water Resources and Narmada Valley Development as well as Managing Director Narmada Basin Project Company Limited and Officer on Special Duty-cum-Member (Rehabilitation) Narmada Valley Development.

Vivek Johri appointed Madhya Pradesh DGP

Bhopal: Vivek Johri, IPS 1984, has been appointed as the new Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police.

Johri will assume office on his return from deputation to the Centre. Till that time, Special DGP Cyber Cell Rajendra Kumar, IPS 1985, will hold charge as DGP.

Present DGP VK Singh, a 1984 batch IPS officer, has been transferred as Director Sports and Youth Welfare.
