Bharatiya Janata Party has another opportunity to serve the people in Haryana and Maharashtra: Amit Shah
New Delhi: After it became clear that BJP would be a forming government in both Maharashtra and Haryana on Thursday, 24 October 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the last 50 years in Maharashtra, not a single Chief Minister has been able to serve continuously for the entire 5 years.
Devendra Fadnavis got the opportunity to work continuously as Chief Minister for 5 years, the Prime Minister said addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters here.
In Maharashtra, we did not get an absolute majority in the last election, in Haryana we got a majority of just 2 seats, despite this, the two Chief Ministers served the people with integrity for 5 years, The PM said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged victorious in both Haryana and Maharashtra assembly elections and expressed gratitude to the people of these states for reposing faith in the party and giving it another opportunity to serve them.
In Madhya Pradesh, Congress party candidate, former Union Minister and State Congress unit chief Kantilal Bhuria has won the bye election for the Jhabua Assembly seat. He defeated his nearest rival Bhanu Bhuriya of the BJP by 27804 votes. This victory is like a feather in teh cap of Chief Minister Kamal Nath and the election result would take the wind out of the main Opposition BJP, which has been bent upon destabilising the State Congress Government enjoying majority with outside support
