A new destiny of Madhya Pradesh is being carved out: Kamal Nath on Sadbhavna Divas
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath said here on Tuesday, 20 August 2019, that India’s real strength lies in unity in diversity and mutual harmony and only this legacy will safeguard the future of the country.
The CM said that a new destiny of Madhya Pradesh is being carved out so that the youth may have access to quality education and employment avenues.
The Chief Minister also called upon the youth to appreciate the changes taking place across the globe and helpt Madhya Pradesh to keep pace with the changing world.
Nath was addressing the Yuva Sankalp Varsh 2019-20 event organized by the Department of Higher Education to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Ravindra Bhavan.
Paying tributes to Rajiv Gandhi, Nath said that social harmony has been the hallmark of India’s history, civilization and culture from Chandragupta to Emperor Ashoka. He said that Rajiv Gandhi had nourished the legacy of harmony. Hence his birth day is celebrated as Sadbhavna Divas.
The Chief Minister recalled Rajiv Gandi’s contribution and said that he was a politician who gave the country the right direction and vision. He recognized the changes taking place around the world and took radical decisions to help India emerge stronger. He said that India’s enviable achievements in the field of communication can be attributed to him. Today, Country’s software engineers, professionals with Google and other major brands have spread across the world and are scripting glorious stories and earning great respect.
The Chief Minister said that when Rajiv Gandhi was spearheading the computer revolution, he was strongly opposed by self-centred people afflicted by vision-deficit. Today the results are before us. Millions of youth have got new employment opportunities due to the communication revolution. Nath went on to add those who were opposing this technology are now taking the credit for Digital India.
The Chief Minister said that when Rajiv Gandhi became the Prime Minister, the country was facing serious challenges. He took firm steps to overcome the challenges and gave the nation a new direction and vision.
Shri Nath asked the youth to appreciate the greatness of India, a nation that’s respected across the world for its pluralism and social harmony.
