New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation has today conducted searches at five locations in Mumbai and Delhi at the premises including office & residence of accused in an ongoing investigation of a case. Certain incriminating documents have been recovered during searches.
It is learnt that raids have been conducted at the residence of Supreme Court advocates Indira Jaising and Anand Grover.

CBI registered a case on 13 June 2019 on a complaint by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs against Mumbai based NGO Lawyers Collective; president of the said NGO; unknown office bearers/functionaries of this NGO and unknown private individuals and public servants.
It was alleged in the complaint that during the year 2006 to 2014, the accused persons entered into a conspiracy in Mumbai, Delhi and other places with an intent to cheat the Government of India in the matter of misusing / diverting Foreign Contribution received in the Mumbai based NGO. It was further alleged that in pursuance of the said conspiracy, Foreign Contribution to the tune of Rs.32.39 crore (approx.) was received in the account of the said NGO and the accused persons mis-utilized sizable amount of the Foreign Contribution received in the account of the Mumbai based NGO and thereby violated the provisions of FERA 2010.
