Addressing media persons in the State capital on Sunday, 7 July 2019, the senior Congress leader, who lost the recent Lok Sabha election to the BJP candidate in a highly polarised scenario, said that winning or losing an election doesn’t matter when it comes to the commitment towards the people. Singh said that he is in the process of getting himself registered as a voter from Bhopal. Till now, he has been listed as a voter in Raghogarh, his home turf in Guna district.

Singh said that it is every citizen’s responsibility to ensure the protection and conservation of the majestic Upper Lake of Bhopal which adds to the beauty of the city. To a pointed query, he stressed the need to save the Kolans river that flows through the neighbouring Sehore district and charges the Upper Lake. More than afforestation, it is important to ensure the natural regeneration of forests in the catchment of the Kolans River, Singh emphasised.

The Comngress leader said that there is no reason why Bhopal cannot become a coaching hub when Kota can be the coaching capital of India. He said that he proposes to raise the demand with the State Government for earmarking land specially for developing a coaching hub in Bhopal. Similarly, he said that he has already taken up with State Chief Minister Kamal Nath the proposal to set up a logistic hub in the State capital.

Singh further said that Vision Bhopal aims to ensure a single window solution to all issues concerning a plethora of departments and government agencies like the Capital Project Administration, Municipal corporation etc.
