The Vanishing StripesBhopal: Mark the third image in the photo – screenshot of Google’s top ranking page on searching the 3- key words “vanishing stripes crew’. This is how the title of the path breaking reports published in 1999 and 2000 by CREW (Crusade for Revival of Environment and Wildlife, a not-for-profit organisation registered under the MP Societies Act in 1997), on the status of tigers and their habitat, which is the indicator of the condition of the ecosystem, has been plagiarised with impunity.

The world had to sit up straight when CREW published these reports that were more than just a warning about the impending destruction of forest wealth and water crisis.
