JLU law students get a ring-side view of Dial 100 system
Bhopal: Superintendent of Police Amit Saxena interacted with the students of School of Law, Jagran Lakecity University, and told them about the evolution of the Dial 100 system and how the scenario has changed over time.
The Legal Aid Clinic of School of Law, Jagran Lakecity University organized a visit to the Dial 100 command centre at Bhopal.
Three faculty members along with 30 students from JLU School of law visited the command centre.
The SP also discussed the changes in the crime rates after the introduction of the Dial 100 system.
Students were also told about the advantage of the new system equipped with the latest technology and how it has contributed towards reducing the time taken to process a distress call.
Students were taken around the command centre and were shown how the distress calls, received on a daily basis, were processed. The number of such calls range anywhere between 20000-25000 per day.
