Republic Day: Kamal Nath announces employment scheme for urban youth

Chhindwara: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath took the salute at the ceremonial Republic Day parade at the Chhindwara district headquarters today.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that a new scheme “Yuva Swabhimaan Yojana” is being launched by his Government provide 100 days of employment to the urban poor youth in a year.

In his Republic Day message to the people, Nath said that the youth are the future of the State. They have talent, which needs to be honed in such a manner as would enable them harness job opportunities at national and international level.

Registration under Yuva Swabhimaan Yojana starts from February 10

Nath said that during the employment period, the urban youth will be given training in skill development in the field of their choice. He said that registration of interested urban poor youth will start from February 10 and the scheme would be fully operational by end of February.

State Governor Anandiben Patel unfurled the National Flag at the State level function held in Bhopal to celebrate the 70th Republic Day.
