Farmers will not face fertiliser shortage in Rabi season: Kamal Nath
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath today reviewed the situation with regard to the availabilty of fertiliser for the Rabi sowing season.
The Chief Minister has issued instrctions to the officers that all steps be taken to ensure adequate supply of fertilisers. The Chief Minister also held telephonic discussions with the Union Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal and Union Minister of Fertiliser and Chemicals Sadanand Gowda and urged them to allot train rakes for transporting urea to Madhya Pradesh on priority.
It was informed during the meeting that additional 36,000 metric tonne of urea and 24,000 metric tonne of DAP have been distributed to farmers this year between October and December in comparison with the corresponding period last year. A total of 7,18,000 metric tonne of urea has been distributed to the farmers in the state till now.
