Bhopal: Sapaks will launch a massive state-wide signature campaign from Saturday 14 July onwards and the target is to collect 10 million signatures to be sent to the President of India in support of various demands, including rationalisation of the reservation system.
Sapaks wants total scrapping of reservation in promotion in government service, abrogation of the Atrocities Act for SCs/STs and Reservation on economic basis and not on caste lines. Sapaks also wants that the students and farmers from the unreserved category should get the same benefits as those from the reserved categories.
The signature campaign will be inaugurated in the State capital by Sapaks (officers and employees association) patron Rajeev Sharma, IAS. Present on the occasion will be the founders and office bearers of Sapaks. The signature campaign will also mark the start of a membership drive.
Lalit Shastri, the founder President of Sapaks Samaj (a society formed by the citizens), along with Patron member Hiralal Trivedi, will be launching the signature drive at Hoshangabad and Sehore on Saturday.
The signature drive will be launched at a special event at the Sapaks headquarters near 1250 hospital in the State capital at 1.30 pm on Saturday.
