Yeddyurappa resigns two days after being sworn in as Karnataka CM

Bengaluru: BS Yeddyurappa, Chief Minister of Karnataka for two days, in an emotion-packed speech, minutes before the abandoned floor test ordered by the Supreme Court, today announced in the State Assembly that he was resigning as he failed to muster the numbers to head a government.

From the Assembly, he drove straight to the Rajbhawan to submit his resignation to the Governor.
