Bhopal: A special function was held here on Thursday (26 April 2018) to mark the opening of the Madhya Pradesh State unit office of a new political party “Anarakshit Samaj Party” (a party committed to the goal of a Reservation-free Society).
The party has vowed to use the democratic election process to build a casteless and corruption-free India. The national president of the party, Rajesh Agnihotri, told media persons that the new party would contest elections if people come forward to demand an alternative.
Politics in Madhya Pradesh has remained polarised between two parties -the ruling BJP and the main Opposition Congress. people are fed up of both and seek a change, he emphasised.
Senior Journalist Lalit Shastri, who presided over the inaugural function, said several States in India, where the voters have matured over the years, the two party system is now a thing of the past. People are waiting for change and are looking forward to connecting with a viable alternative. The new party should meet their hopes and expectations, he said adding it would destroy many equations.
Besides the National President of the Party, also present on the occasion were Pravin Rastogi, National General Secretary; Dinesh Pastor, in-charge of Madhya Pradesh; and Pradeep Bansal, in-charge Rajasthan.
