Bhopal: Members of the Youth wings of SAPAKS (Samanya Pichda Alpsankhyak Kalyan Samaj Sanstha) and Kshatriya Mahasabha today took out a bike rally from the State capital to Budhni, the home turf of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, to protest against the discriminatory policies of the Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party Government.
The youth belonging to the majority communities are agitated in the central Indian State of Madhya Pradesh as they are suffering on many counts due to the State government’s discriminatory policies. While a major demand of the youth is that Reservation of government jobs and seats in professional courses should be rationalised by ensuring that it is on economic basis and not on caste lines, the Youth are also angry since the State Government is bent upon continuing with reservation in promotion at any cost. This has closed the promotional avenues for a vast majority of Government servants belonging to the general category, OBCs and minorities whereas those belonging to the SC/ST communities have climbed the ladders of success and got speedy promotions under the provision for reservation in promotion. After the Madhya Pradesh High Court declared the provision for Reservation in promotion as unconstitutional in April 2016, the Madhya Pradesh government went ahead and challenged the High Court order in Supreme Court and it has done everything to delay the proceedings in this case.
Today’s bike rally was flagged off by State Information Commissioner Hiralal Trivedi at 9 am from Bhopal. Present on the occasion were SAPAKS (officers and employees’ body) President Dr. K. S. Tomar, Founder of SAPAKs Ajay Jain, SAPAKS, Vice Presidents Mrs. Raksha Dube and B.L. Tyagi. The rally was led by SAPAKS youth Wing President Abhishek Soni.
