Patna: Within 24 hours of resigning and quitting the “grand alliance”, Nitish Kumar has once again become the chief minister of Bihar.
Nitish was sworn in as chief minister today morning (27 July 2017). He will heading a government with BJP as alliance partner.
Also sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister this morning, is State BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi. In the JD(U)-RJD Government, which collapsed yesterday with the resignation of Nitish, RJD leader Lalu Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav was the deputy Chief Minister. Nitish chose to part ways with RJD after Tejashwi refused to step down over the land-for-hotel scam, in which he is embroiled along with his parents -Lalu and Rabri – both former chief ministers of Bihar.
