New Delhi: The selection of Naidu as the NDA candidate for the post of Vice President was announced by ruling BJP president Amit Shah at a press conference on Monday evening.

Shah said: “Naidu started as a student leader and rose through the ranks and all NDA allies support his candidature.” Cutting across party lines, Naidu is respected across the country as a minister, Shah added.
