Left leaning Intellectuals polarising politics

A solid take on Politics

Raghvendra Das

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee

Mamata and those who want to defeat Narendra Modi should learn a lesson from recently concluded assembly in UP. The landslide victory of BJP can be attributed to the silent polarisation on communal and caste lines.

Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam, Akhilesh and Amar Singh during their heydays

The much touted MY ( (Muslim-Yadav)) combination of Samajwadi Party crumbled like a wall of sand. The myth of Muslims being deciding in constituencies got exploded by the silent polarisation.

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh

Calling Osama bin Laden Osama ji and Zakir Naik apostle of peace could not help the Congress. Mamata hijacked the lumpen elements from the left and had spectacular victory twice against the supposedly invincible Left Front. In case these elements get polarised BJP would be gaining support in Bengal.

The so called liberal and left leaning intellectuals are unwittingly contributing to this polarisation by putting blame at the doors of BJP for any and every incident of violence. Comrades please don’t lose your credibility by going overboard on account of your hatred towards Narendra Modi. Remember the Chaiwala jibe of Funny Shankar Iyer. It did cost the Congress dearly. Try to be fair in your writing. Tell the ruling elite of India to be fair and firm in governance. No group should be allowed to take undue advantage. Otherwise you can not stop polarisation on the communal lines.
