Tel Aviv: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have agreed to do a lot together to protect the strategic interests of India and Israel.

The two leaders also discussed the situation in West Asia and the wider region. It is India’s hope that peace, dialogue and restraint will prevail, Modi said in his statement to the press during his visit to Israel on Wednesday.

“I am honoured to be in Israel on this exceptional visit”, Modi said adding our belief in democratic values and economic progress has been a shared pursuit.

“Netanyahu and I have had productive discussions covering an extensive menu of issues and our goal is to build a relationship that reflects our shared priorities and draws on enduring bonds between our peoples, Modi stated as he went on to underscore that the two leaders regard thriving two-way trade and investment flows as the bed-rock of a strong partnership.

Modi especially thanked Netanyahu for his warm words of welcome and for the exceptional generosity and friendship
