Terror attack: CRPF troops kill four terrorists in Kashmir

Srinagar: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troops today foiled a terror attack on their camp and killed four heavily armed terrorists at Sumbal in the Bandipora district in north Kashmir.

The terrorists were killed at the gate before they could move in. There was no casualty on the CRPF side and all the terrorists were killed within 3 to 4 minutes.

Briefing mediapersons at the encounter site, a senior CRPF officer said that the militants started firing with automatic weapons at 3 a.m. today when 45 Batallion camp guards were being replaced. Alert guards immediately retaliated and other CRPF personnel in the camp also joined the encounter and killed the militants.

One of the militants was a suicide bomber, the CRPF officer disclosed adding a large number of arms and ammunition, including 4 AK rifles and grenades, were recovered from the slain militants.
