Reservation in promotion case: Next hearing on 21 February

Newsroom24x7 Staff

supreme-courtNew Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh Government once more tried to delay the proceedings by seeking more time in the reservation in promotion case that came up for hearing in the Supreme Court today.

After arguments, the Court rejected the plea by the advocate representing the government for more time. After hearing the case for about half-an-hour, the bench took the view that since the hearing in this case would not conclude in three continuous hearings and as the benches were being constituted through a new roster next week and it is likely that the judges constituting this bench might change and fixed the case for hearing on top of the board on 21 February.

Senior Supreme Court advocate V. Shekhar was representing the case from the Government side in Supeme Court today.
