No Valentine’s Day, now it will be Parents’ Respect Day in Chindwara
Chindwara (Madhya Pradesh): The children in Chindwara parliamentary constituency, which has remained a pocket borough of senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Kamal Nath, will observe February 14, celebrated worldwide as Valentine’s Day, as ‘Parents’ Respect Day’ following a diktat of a babu – none other than the district collector.
Chindwara collector JK Jain, has ordered all educational institutions and social organisations in the district to observe February 14 as Parents’ Respect Day. This shortly after the children have already been involved on a massive scale in celebrations and festivities to mark the launch of the State department of Happiness across the State. Their academic calendar is already overstretched. Now comes a government order, issued on February 6, which says special programmes should be organised on a large-scale to mark the day in homes, neighbourhoods, villages and towns.
