Jail break and gunning down of SIMI terrorists: MP Government orders judicial probe

simi-terroristsBhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Government has ordered a judicial probe into the gunning down of eight alleged terrorists of the banned outfit Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in police encounter last Monday and their escape from the high security Central Jail here on the intervening night of October 30 and 31.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took the decision to order a judicial inquiry at a high-level meeting in the State capital yesterday.

According to available information, retired Judge of the High Court Justice SK Pandey will head a one-man inquiry panel that will probe all aspects including the escape of the alleged terrorists, the police gunning them down in an encounter and the killing of constable Ramashankar Yadav, who was on guard duty that night in the Central Jail.
